THRISSUR: The administrative council of the Cochin Devaswom Board, which met here on Wednesday, took exception to the reported remarks of Devaswom Minister G. Sudhakaran against Devaswom Board president M.A. Krishnanunni. The Minister had criticised the president and the functioning of the board at a convention of the Cochin Devaswom Board Employees' Organisation here on Tuesday. Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Mr. Krishnanunni said the council meeting decided to request the Chief Minister to "check" the Devaswom Minister. "The Devaswom Minister's remarks are unfortunate and an insult to Hindu religion. I don't want to stoop to his level and respond to his remarks. I am not prepared for a battle either. ," Mr. Krishnanunni said.
