`Cut down on garlands'

HYDERABAD: Minister for Agriculture N. Raghuveera Reddy in a gentle reminder to APCC president K. Keshav Rao on Wednesday urged the latter to stop accepting garlands and bouquets at functions as the Chief Minister had directed party cadres against it.

In a letter to Dr. Rao, the Minister said the PCC president should also direct the cadres not to waste money on felicitations.

They should donate the money thus saved to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
