THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: M.V. Sabi (MG University) and Jijimol Jacob (MG University) finished first in the men's and women's sections respectively of the inter-university cross country championship, organised by Kerala University, here on Wednesday. Sabi covered the 12.5km race in 41:03.00s to push M. Habeen (Calicut) and K.P. Sreenath to the second and third places respectively. In the 6km race for women, Jijimol Jacob led a clean sweep by MG University. S.R. Bindu and P.M. Sinimol finished second and third respectively. Calicut University won the team title in the men's section followed by Kannur and MG University. In the women's section, MG won the title while Calicut and Kerala came second and third respectively.
