Venkateswara Arts College, hostels closed

TIRUPATI : The TTD-run Sri Venkateswara Arts College here has been closed following stir by the students under the banner of the All-India Students Federation (AISF) protesting against the alleged indifference of the principal towards bad living conditions in the hostels. The students who were also angry over their alleged harassment by the principal, have reportedly smashed his car parked at the college.

The campus police have been looking for the students named in the complaint given by the principal. The stir took a serious turn on Wednesday forcing the college authorities to close down the college and the hostels as well and ask the inmates to vacate forthwith.
