Steps to promote cashew farming

KOLLAM: Minister for Labour P.K. Gurudasan said a Cashew Special Office would be inaugurated here on Thursday.

The office will function at the headquarters complex of the Kerala State Cashew Development Corporation (KSCDC).

The Cashew Special Officer will be entrusted with the task of the revival of KSCDC and the Cashew Workers Apex Industrial Cooperative Society (Capex).

The Minister said the Union Agriculture Ministry had made an allocation of Rs. 7.35 crore for the development of cashew farms in the State.
