CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government is making concerted efforts to get Faridabad connected with Delhi Metro rail services by the year 2010, State Chief Secretary Prem Prashant said here on Wednesday. Addressing a press conference, he said a memorandum of understanding would be inked on November 17 in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for connecting Gurgaon to Delhi through the Metro. The Metro facility would be available from the Delhi border to IFFCO Chowk in Gurgaon. The project would entail an expenditure of Rs. 333 crores, out of which Rs. 111 crores would be spent by the Central Government, Rs. 111 crores by the Delhi Government and Rs. 111 crores by the Haryana Government. "It is planned to extend the Metro facility to Gurgaon by 2009," he added.
