NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday directed an alleged illegal dairy operator here to provide it details of alleged allotment of plots to relatives of the Chairman of the Court-appointed Delhi Dairy Committee for running gau-sadans in the Capital. A Division Bench comprising Justice Vijender Jain and Justice Kailash Gambhir issued the direction when Sugriv Dubey, counsel for petitioner in the matter, Vikas Jain, submitted that the person who was levelling the allegation against the Committee's Chairman, L.C. Jain, was himself the leader of a gang who ran illegal dairies in the Nanakpura area in South-West Delhi. Mr. Dubey submitted that former Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) Commissioner Rakesh Mehta had in 2004 written to the Delhi Police Commissioner seeking initiation of criminal proceedings against him and others involved in the illegal running of dairies The city police had so far taken no action in the matter, he added. Counsel for the Delhi Government informed the Court that it had released Rs. 4 crore for buying a hydraulic crane to pick up stray cattle
