Fogging operations undertaken in 40 slums

HYDERABAD: The MCH health and sanitation teams covered 45,944 households on Wednesday as part of their door-to-door anti-larval operations to control the mosquito menace. Some 40 slums were also covered under fogging operations.

Nearly 12 km of open drains were treated with larvicides and pyrethrum spray was done in 49 houses where suspected dengue cases were detected. The anti-malaria staff also distributed more than 5,000 pamphlets in various localities, a press release said.
