MBA examinations: Applications for the third semester MBA (full time and part time - 2000 scheme) examinations beginning December 15, for the fifth semester (part time 2000 scheme) examinations beginning December 19, for the first semester (full time and part time - 2000 scheme) examinations beginning December 22, for the first semester MBA (part time 1996 scheme mercy chance) examinations beginning January 17, 2007, for the second semester MBA (part time 1996 scheme, mercy chance) examinations beginning January 18, for the third semester MBA (part time 1996 scheme mercy chance) examinations beginning January 19, for the fourth semester MBA (part time 1996 scheme mercy chance) examinations beginning January 22, for the fifth semester MBA (part time 1996 scheme mercy chance) examinations beginning January 23, and for the sixth semester (part time 1996 scheme mercy chance) examinations beginning January 24 can be submitted without fine till November 23.

Visiting professor: Centre for Bioinformatics honorary director Acuthsankar S. Nair has been invited to deliver 12 lectures at the University of Koea, Seoul. He will speak on digital signal processing in bioinformatics at the university's Electrical Engineering department. The lectures will end on December 14.

LLB examinations: Applications for the first year LLB examinations (three-year course) beginning November 30 and for the third year LLB examinations (five-year course) beginning that day can be submitted without fine till November 20 and with a fine of Rs.50 till November 22.

Economics viva: The viva voce of the MA economics examinations conducted by the Institute of Distance Education (IDE) will be held at the IDE, Karyavattom, from November 22. The detailed timetable can be had from the institute.

Vacancy: Applications have been invited for inclusion in the panel of temporary lecturers in the Department of Optoelectronics. The monthly pay will be Rs.10,000. The last date for submitting applications is November 25. Further information can be had from the department.
