Thiruvananthapuram: The Capital City Development Forum has urged the Central Government to take a final decision on the Chinese companies involved in the bid for the Vizhinjam container terminal project. A press note issued by forum secretary K.T. Roy here on Wednesday expressed hope that the issue would figure during Chinese President Hu Jintao's visit to New Delhi on November 20. The press note said the State Government could proceed with the project only after the Union Government communicated its final decision. The forum called on the State Government to take steps to set up a fashion technology institute at Balaramapuram, near here.
The press note also urged the Government to identify land for a modern theatre venue announced by Union Minister for Planning M.V. Rajasekharan.
