Northeast monsoon active over T.N.

CHENNAI: Northeast monsoon has been active over Tamil Nadu.

Rainfall occurred at most places over coastal Tamil Nadu, at many places over interior Tamil Nadu and at a few places over Rayalaseema and Kerala. Isolated rainfall occurred over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep and Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over Telangana.

Forecast (valid until Saturday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and south coastal Andhra Pradesh and at a few places over Rayalaseema, Kerala and Lakshadweep. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal and south interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Telangana and north interior Karnataka.

Heavy Rainfall Warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely to occur over coastal Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and south coastal Andhra Pradesh during next 48 hours.

Outlook for subsequent two days: No large change.
