`Revoke arrest warrant against Shivakumar'

Special Correspondent

GULBARGA: Supporters of former Minister D.K. Shivakumar and members of the D.K. Shivakumar Abhimanigala Sangha on Thursday took out a procession and burnt the effigies of former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda and Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy over what they called "vindictive action" of the Government against family members of Mr. Shivakumar over the alleged illegal mining.

Members of the sangha said the State Government machinery was being misused by the Janata Dal (S) to take revenge against Mr. Shivakumar who had issued statements against Mr. Gowda for allegedly amassing wealth.

Members of the sangha said until the Government withdrew its decision on the arrest warrant, they would continue to protest .
