Jockeys suspended

MYSORE: The Stewards of the Mysore Race Club have suspended jockey Suraj Narredu from riding in races from Nov. 26 to Dec. 20 (both days inclusive), for unsatisfactory riding on Vesuvio in the first division of Justice P. Medapa Memorial Trophy (1,400m) run on Sept. 28, 2006.

In the first division of the Periyapattana Plate (1,200m), run on Oct. 12, jockey R. Koch was suspended for the same period for dangerous riding on Laughing Wild.

Jockey Appu was suspended from Nov. 26 to Dec. 8 (both days inclusive) for injudicious riding on Al Qamar in the Royal Calcutta Turf Club Cup (1,600m) run on the above day. All the three riders are however permitted to ride work.

The Stewards have suspended the jockey's licence of T. Vijayan from Nov. 26, 2006 to March 6, 2007 (both days inclusive) for not permitting Kilspindie to run on its merit in the second division of the Sowcar T. Thimmappa Memorial Cup (1,400 m) run on Oct. 13. He is not permitted to ride work.
