GUNTUR: Positive thinking, a powerful dream and commitment in work and passion to realise what we dream are essential to be successful, said Mudra Communications founder A.G. Krishna Murthy here on Thursday. Responding to the `Lifetime Achievement Award' presented to him by Mahatma Gandhi College, Mr. Krishna Murthy said the award was more precious than many international awards he had received.
The three gurus
He attributed his success to three `gurus', who had completely transformed the way he looked at life, the way he thought and the way he conducted himself. The first was Giraben Sarabhai, who taught him to speak less and make his actions speak for him. Dhirubhai Ambani, according to the doyen of advertising, was one who trusted his employees and made them think world class and give their best. He said the success of Vimal or Rasna ads was due to the hard work he had put in by following the simple rules his parents and teachers had taught him. The third guru he referred to was Verghese Kurien, the man who brought milk revolution in the country and made India world's largest producer of milk in 20 years. Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, Chairman of the State Cultural Council, Mayor of the Guntur Municipal Corporation Kanna Nagaraju and ANU Vice-Chancellor V. Balamohandas were among the other prominent people present on the occasion. College chairman D.A.R. Subhrahmanyam welcomed the dignitaries.
