KURNOOL: TDP district president Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy fired his next salvo here on Thursday as part of his strategy to embarrass the district administration by seeking information on Medical and Health Department under Right to Information Act. Mr. Reddy accompanied by his supporters reached the District Medical and Health Office and made a formal representation to the DMHO for information on 17 counts. He paid an amount of Rs. 10 to the information officer and formally got his request registered. Under the transport head, he sought for the information of number of vehicles used for transport in the last three years and the cost of fuel and rent on the vehicles. He also sought the time and distance clocked by the vehicles as per the logbook. He sought the details of the 24-hour clinics, which paid a remuneration of Rs. 700 to the doctor and details of those patients who availed the free transport under the category. ]The names of addresses of pregnant women who delivered babies in the Government hospitals and also the amount received by them under the health system were sought. He wanted the DMHO to give the information of those affected by chikungunya and the amount spent by the Health Department on distribution of drugs along with the names of the beneficiaries. . Dr. Ramakrishna Reddy promised to give all the information asked for in a few days.
