Sangareddy: Legislator T. Jayaprakash Reddy criticised TRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao for running the party as his own private firm. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, the legislator alleged that misappropriation of funds has been a regular practice in the party and several cheques donated by NRIs have not been accounted for. He further pointed out that the system in the party has derailed and is being run on ad-hoc basis. He said that separate Telangana is possible with national parties like the Congress or the BJP and hinted that the electorate should vote a national party like the Congress.
Meet on Telangana
NALGONDA: Representatives of various organisations of the Telangana region took part in a discussion on "Telangana's place in History Facts and Distortions," in the town on Wednesday night. Writer P. Lokeshwar explained to the participants the political developments from 1946 to 2006 in the region. He observed that the Telangana Peasants' Armed Struggle was aimed at achieving land and food for poor and emancipation of suppressed. "It was not intended to achieve people's rule in Visalandhra as propagated by a section of people," he said. Venu Sankoju of Telangana Rachayitala Vedika, G. Venkateswarlu of Telangana Vidyavantula Vedika, G. Kasaiah and V. Krishna of Telangana Udyogula Sangham, M. Somaiah of the Democratic Teachers' Association, R. Vijay Kumar of Udyoga Kranti and others took part in the meeting.
