NIZAMABAD: Voter lists will be revised from November 18 to December 18 in the district. The previous voter lists will be kept available at all polling stations, post offices, Mandal Revenue and Revenue Divisional Offices and also at the district Collector's office on November 18. Claims and objections will be received from the day on which draft lists are published. For fresh enrolment Form-6, for deletion Form-7 for amendment Form-8 and for transfer of name from one polling station to anther or from one constituency to another Form-8A have to be filled. For recognised political parties one soft copy and one hard copy of voter lists will be supplied free of cost, while other parties need to get them by remitting some fee at the concerned office. Unlike in the past this time lists will be made available at the nearest post offices. The authorities also took a decision to conduct gram sabhas on November 25 and 26 and also on December 9 and 10 on the revision of voter lists inviting elected representatives of local bodies and political leaders. In each meeting voter lists will be read out for the people. District Revenue Officer C. Sreeram Reddy disclosed that after corrections the final list of voters will be published on February 23.
