Hubli: Two new records were created on the first day of the ninth Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Inter-Collegiate Athletic Meet 2006-07 here on Thursday. While Nikhil of Nitte Educational Trust, Mangalore created a new record in men's high jump by clearing 1.69m (previous record 1.68m), Prasasti Rai of Alva College of Medical Sciences, Moodbidri cleared 1.40m to break the earlier record of 1.28m in the women's high jump event. Dr. Shilpa Bhat of KIMS, Bangalore also broke the earlier record by clearing 1.30m. The results: Men: 10,000m: 1. M.G. Pradeep (40:26:41); 2. Dhayal Singh; 3. Ganesh K. Shetty; 4.
