Workshop on chemical thermodynamics

Staff Reporter

CHENNAI: Chemical thermodynamics finds extensive applications in material synthesis, performance characterisation and processing industries. There is a need for chemistry researchers to update themselves on the recent advances and state-of-the-art technologies.

A four-day workshop on the topic is being organised from January 3 to 6, 2007, at the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam, in association with the Central Electrochemical Research Institute, Karaikudi, and the National Chemical Laboratory, Pune.

University and college faculty, researcher scholars and second year postgraduate students working in chemical thermodynamics domains or are interested in taking up challenging problems in chemical thermodynamics may apply through their respective department heads for participation.

The deadline for applications is (today) Friday.

A maximum of 30 researchers will be selected on a first-come-first-serve basis.

To register, email igcardae@md2.vsnl.net.in with details.
