Accent on government servants discharging their duty honestly Need for demystifying vigilance function was stressed

CHENNAI : Employees' Provident Fund Organisation organised a slew of programmes in connection with recently held vigilance awareness week.

The Deputy Inspector General, CB-CID, S. Rajendran, participated in the seminar on `The Need for Vigilance Awareness in Public Life' on November 9. He urged every government servant to discharge duty honestly.

On the valedictory function on November 10, T. Gopalakrishnan, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-II, welcomed the guests.

G. M. P Reddy, Southern Railway IG/Chief Security Commissioner, delivered the keynote address on `The Need for Vigilance Awareness in Public Life.'

RPF commissioner-I A. Mahendra Raju urged parents to be honest and set an example for their children.

At the United India Insurance Company office, a seminar was organised for its top management. Chief Vigilance Officer Vasumathi S. Kumar spoke on the need for demystifying vigilance and the need to perceive issue as a management function.

Power Finance Corporation employees took an oath in the course of the Corporation's celebrations. The PFC also organised a meeting of customers in the southern region and various policies and disbursement procedures were explained.

The regional office staff also participated in slogan writing and essay competition held by its corporate office.

It also organised a slogan competition and essay writing contests for school students.

At the Syndicate Bank's regional office, vigilance awareness week was observed from November 6 to 10. General manager V. Kalyani spoke on the importance of weeding out corruption in the society.
