The Hyderabad boys

This refers to the record unbroken 721-run partnership between Hyderabad boys Mohammed Shaibaaz and Manoj Kumar. The BCCI should induct the two, who displayed tremendous concentration and determination, into test cricket and nurture them for the World Cup.

Who knows, the youngsters may turn out to be a better bet (than our unpredictable old stalwarts) for winning the cup!

V.K. Sharma,
Hyderabad

The budding young batsmen played unbelievable cricket to break the Kambli-Tendulkar record. They deserve all praise for their achievement, and encouragement from the cricketing world and the Government.

The BCCI should give them financial help to pursue the game. This is the time to support them and nurture their talent.

Er. Ahmad Rais Siddiqi,
New Delhi
