DINDIGUL: Three persons were arrested on Friday in connection with the murder of an old woman at Pillayarnatham near here on Thursday. The Superintendent of Police, A. Pari, said that Arul Das (27), Selvaraj (30) and Devaraj (37) were arrested within 24 hours of the crime. The masked-burglars had murdered the woman and injured her husband Tuesday midnight. Arul Das used to approach Narayanasamy, husband of the deceased, Subbulakshmi, for collecting grass. They planned to rob the proceeds of milk sale from them. When Narayanaswamy identified Arul Das, he decided to kill them, he said.
