KOZHIKODE: The Broadcast Engineering Society of India has conferred C.P. Rajasekaran, present director of All India Radio (AIR), Mangalore, with the national award for his public service broadcasting. Last year, Mr. Rajasekaran won the award for the family counselling programme of AIR, Kozhikode, `Snehapoorvam.' This year, he won the award for his script and production of `Aadijalam,' the relevance and reverence of water, the origin and course and medium of life. This was written in the background of the `tsunami,' the natural calamity that affected people. The award cwas presented to Mr. Rajasekaran in New Delhi on November 12.
