MANGALORE: A two-day `Janapada Jaatre' (folk fair) will be held in Dakshina Kannada from November 18. To be held at Kadri park, the jaatre has been organised jointly by the District Administration, Department of Kannada and Culture, Dakshina Kananda District Sahitya Parishat, Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy and Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy. Highlight of the jaatre will be a folk music and dance festival, and an ethnic Tulunadu food festival. Ten troupes of artistes from different districts would participate in the event, Jeevan Ram Sullia, district co-ordinator of the jaatre, said.
