Rich tributes paid to Akshaya Mohanty

Bhubaneswar: Rich tributes were paid to legendary singer and writer Akshaya Mohanty on his fourth death anniversary in the capital on Friday.

At a function organised to mark the occasion versatile writer and columnist Adhyapak Biswaranjan was conferred Akshaya Sahitya Samman for 2006. It was hosted by Sanskruti-O-Sanskruti and Media Orissa. The annual literary award was instituted by Media Orissa to commemorate the legendary singer and writer. It carries a citation, a shawl and a cash award of Rs.15,000. Ministers B.B.Harichandan and S.N.Patro presented the award. The event was sponsored by The Hindu among others.
