Orders reserved on Jayalalithaa's pleas

CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has reserved its orders on former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's petitions challenging the validity of Section 278CC of the Income Tax Act 1961, as well as the Economic Offences Court orders dismissing her plea to discharge her from IT cases. Justice Prabha Sridevan reserved her orders after counsel for Ms. Jayalalithaa and the Income Tax Department concluded their arguments on Friday.
