BANGALORE: Karnataka Dalit Rakshana Samiti has urged Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy to take steps for providing jobs to Dalits graduating from colleges and other educational institutions every year. Speaking to presspersons here on Friday, samiti State president V. Srinivas said many Dalits were deprived of jobs as employment in government service was shrinking.
Ignored
As all economic activities were being computerised and the educated among the affluent sections were garnering the available posts, Dalit graduates, including those in professional courses, were ignored, he said. Mr. Srinivas claimed that not many among the Dalits were entering the realm of State administration as IAS and IPS posts went to the elites and the influential classes at the behest and support of the politicians. He urged the Government to provide coaching and training centres for Dalit graduates interested in taking up IAS, IPS and KAS examinations.
