Nominations invited for Senate election

Last date for filing nomination, Nov. 30

TIRUCHI: Bharathidasan University has invited nominations in the prescribed form for election to the Senate from graduates whose names are registered in the university's Register of Graduates of the Tiruvarur Revenue District.

In a statement issued here on Friday, the Registrar and Returning Officer, V. Radhakrishnan, said that nomination forms along with other details could be obtained from his office on written requisition and submission of Demand Draft for Rs. 500 drawn in favour of Bharathidasan University, Tiruchi-24.

Eligible graduates can either send the requisition and demand draft through post along with stamped self-addressed envelope to the value of Rs. 20 or furnish the particulars in person to obtain the forms.

The last dates for filing of nomination and withdrawal of candidature are November 30 and December 6 respectively. Polling would be held on December 28.
