Volvo buses for BNP

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has decided to deploy Volvo buses between Kempe Gowda Bus Station (KBS) and Bannerghatta National Park (BNP) on Saturdays, Sundays and general holidays from November 18.

The services would be operated at a frequency of 30 minutes between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. with the last departure from BNP at 6.30 p.m., said an official release.

The fare is Rs. 45 for adults and Rs. 25 for children (below 12 years).

The special offer of concessional fares extended to BMTC's suburban and Pushpak monthly pass holders would hold good for the BNP service too.

The pass holders can travel in Volvo buses by paying a fixed concessional fare for a single trip extending to any length.

While suburban (red board) pass holders have to pay Rs. 25 for this facility, Pushpak pass holders have to pay Rs. 20.
