Round-the-clock counselling to prevent suicides

Puducherry: The Women's Commission of Puducherry has planned to provide round-the-clock counselling service to prevent suicides. Its chairperson S. Kamalini said in a release here on Friday that the commission would recruit volunteers for the purpose. The counselling cell was aimed at preventing those having attitude to commit suicides and to enable them to stabilise themselves in life.

The Union Territory had been reporting a near-alarming incidence of suicides .
