High Court refuses bail to Babloo Srivastava

NEW DELHI:
The Delhi High Court on Saturday refused to grant bail to underworld don Babloo Srivastava in the Lalit Suneja murder case here in August 1992 citing his antecedents and propensity to commit crimes.
In the High Court, Srivastava had sought suspension of his sentence and grant of bail submitting that he had been in jail for the past ten years and there was no hope of his appeal being taken up for consideration in the near future.
Dismissing Babloo's plea, a Division Bench of the Court comprising Justice R.S. Sodhi and Justice P.K. Bhasin said: "His plea is rejected keeping in view his antecedents and propensity to commit crimes in various parts of Northern India.''
