School anniversary

ALAPPUZHA: Chief minister V.S. Achuthanandan will inaugurate the 125th anniversary celebrations of Government Higher Secondary School, Aayaparambu, near Haripad, in the district on Sunday at 2.30 p.m.

Haripad MLA B. Babuprasad will preside over the function. K.S. Manoj, MP, will felicitate a former headmaster of the school, Vasudevan Pillai, at the function. MLA C.K. Sadasivan, Alappuzha district panchayat president R. Nazar, former MLAs C.B.C. Warier and T.K. Devakumar, district panchayat education standing committee chairman G. Harisankar and Haripad block panchayat president P.S. Taha. Mr. Achuthanandan will also inaugurate the district career guidance centre at Kayamkulam at 3.30 p.m.
