Bangalore: The Common Admission Test (CAT) for the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) will be held across 23 cities in the country on Sunday. According to sources, over 1.90 lakh students are likely to appear for the test.

The IIM, Bangalore, will conduct the test for as many as 43,000 candidates.

It will conduct the test in Hyderabad and Pune. Forty-four test centres had been set up in the three cities, the sources said.

The test is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and will end at 1 p.m.

They said that a strict code for the conduct of the test had been laid down.

Students would be allowed to bring in their admission cards, pencils, erasers and sharpeners into the examination hall.

Electronic gadgets such as cellphones, calculators and pagers would not be allowed into the hall, the sources added.
