Traffic curbs for BJP meet

BANGALORE: The police have made elaborate arrangements to ensure that vehicular movement is not affected in the city on Sunday in view of Bharatiya Janata Party's `Rashtriya Suraksha Sankalapa Samavesha' to be held at Palace Grounds.

According to a press release from Commissioner of Police Neelam Achuta Rao, over one lakh people from different parts of the State are expected to attend the rally.

Vehicles coming from Bellary Road should take a left turn on the Hebbal flyover at Mekhri Circle, pass through Jayamahal Road and enter the Palace Grounds from Mavinakayi Mandi gate.

Vehicles coming from Kolar Road should pass through Old Madras Road, take a right turn at the Outer Ring Road, pass through Hebbal flyover, Jayamahal Road and reach Mavinakayi Mandi Gate.

Those coming from Hosur Road should take a right turn at Central Silk Board junction. Those from Kanakapura Road have to take a left turn at Sarakki junction, pass through the Outer Ring Road and Mysore Road, take a left turn at KIMCO junction, pass through West of Chord Road, Yeshwanthpur Circle, BHEL Circle, Mekhri Circle, Ramana Maharshi Road and enter Palace Grounds through Mavinakayi Mandi gate.

Vehicles coming from Magadi should take a left turn at Beggars' Colony junction, pass through Ring Road, Tumkur Road, Mekhri Circle, Jayamahal Road and enter the venue through Mavinakayi Mandi gate.
