Corporators stage protest

Nearly 40 Congress corporators staged a protest here on Saturday. The protest was apparently because BMP Commissioner K. Jairaj could not meet the corporators who wanted to discuss development works in their wards. But the issue was amicably resolved after the commissioner gave them an assurance.

Power shutdown in parts of city

There will be no power supply on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in parts of the city. The affected areas include K.G. Nagara, Jalahalli Circle, 8th Mile Tumkur Road, Dasarahalli, M.S. Ramaiah Layout, Havanoor Extension and surrounding areas.

Special drive by BMTC

With an aim to arrest the misuse of day passes, the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation will launch a special drive from Monday. The checking drive will concentrate on educating the people regarding the proper use of the day pass and fulfilling their responsibilities.
