New Delhi: The Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) on Tuesday directed Direct-To-Home (DTH) operator TataSky and broadcaster Sun Group to sit across the table and resolve their differences. ``Both parties would meet on Friday in the respondent's office in Chennai,'' said a TDSAT Bench headed by Justice Arun Kumar.
Seeks reply in a week
The tribunal directed the Sun Group to file its reply within a week and TataSky to file a rejoinder later. TataSky, in a petition to the tribunal, had accused the Sun Group of not sharing signals of channels offered by the group's network on its DTH platform. TataSky and the Sun Group came out with their versions on the number of channels of the group during the proceedings. Appearing on behalf of Tata Sky, an 80:20 joint venture between Tata and Star India, senior counsel Mukul Rohtagi said the Sun Group had 14 channels and its cable rate was Rs. 45. However, the Sun Group denied it and contended that they have 20 channels in two bouquets worth Rs 100. It also alleged that TataSky had come out with wrong information in its petition. PTI
