Vikas Gora of Atheist Centre invited to IUPIP convention

Convention to discuss subjects like war and economy, role of Europe ietc

VIJAYAWADA : International University of People's Institutions for Peace (IUPIP), Rovereto, Trento in Italy, has invited Vikas Gora of Atheist Centre to participate in its convention on `Institutions and People's Institutions - Facing the New War and the New Peace', to be held from November 27 to December 3.

The convention will discuss subjects like transformation of war and peace, the relation between war and religions, war and economy, war and politics and role of Europe in its action of peacekeeping. Mr. Gora will share his thoughts on `religion and war' with participants coming from across the world. He is an environmental journalist and the director of disaster management wing of Arthik Samat Mandal of the Atheist Centre.

He is also the vice-president of International Humanist and Ethical Youth Organisation and currently doing a doctoral research on community-based disaster preparedness.
