Three arrested in murder of autorickshaw driver

Special Correspondent

GULBARGA: The Gulbarga police on Tuesday said they have solved the murder of an autorickshaw driver here on October 10 with the arrest of three persons, all relatives of the victim, on Monday evening near Ranesh Peer Dargha on the outskirts of the city.

The police gave the names of the arrested as Revanasiddappa, Gangadhar and Basavaraj. The police already arrested two others allegedly involved in crime — Bhimsha and Gurunath.

Previous enmity over the complaint lodged by murdered autorickshaw driver Jagdish Naikodi over the alleged illicit relation of the murder accused with one of his relative was stated to be the main reason for the killing. Autorickshaw drivers in the city had organised "Gulbarga bandh" a few days ago.
