Rupee recovers

MUMBAI: The Rupee recovered against the U.S. currency and ended at 44.86/87 A dollar on Tuesday on heavy foreign fund inflows into the domestic stock markets along with fresh dollar sales though crude oil prices were quoted higher.

In a active trading at the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee opened flat at 44.97/98 a dollar and after falling temporarily to a low of 45.0700, bounced back and ended at 44.86/87, smartly higher than Monday's close of 44.97/99 a dollar. — PTI
