KARIMNAGAR: A case has been registered against State Information Commissioner K. Sudhakar Rao, two drivers on charges of illegal payments in connection with Karimnagar Lok Sabha by-election on Tuesday. Karimnagar DSP A. Mogilaiah said the case was booked under IPC 171H at LMD police station based on a complaint given by leaders of the TRS. The police seized Rs. 5 lakh in cash and cricket kits besides taking the two drivers in custody. The driver of Mr. Sudhakar Rao, reportedly said that he was instructed by the officer to transport the consignment and give it to the local Congress leaders. The cash was meant for payment towards printing of election material, he said.
