Former student donates Rs. 1 crore to AU

VISAKHAPATNAM: An alumnus of Andhra University has donated Rs.1 crore to the institution to construct a building for the recently established AU College of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

K. Paul Thadikonda of Bapatla, studied B.Pharm and M.Pharm in the then Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of AU during 1973-79 and worked as a faculty of the department before leaving for the US to do research and settling there..

Dr. Paul Thadikonda handed over his letter of consent to Vice-Chancellor L. Venugopal Reddy here on Tuesday. Dr. Paul himself approached him with the offer of providing a 20,000-sft building for the new college. Dr. Paul donated the sum in memory of his elder son Prasanth.
