Trauma care centre to be opened in Kurnool

Anaesthetists, orthopaedic and neuro surgeons are part of the venture

KURNOOL: Kurnool Heart and Brain Centre, a multi-speciality hospital, will set up a trauma care centre on November 23.

G. R. Chandrasekhar, neurosurgeon and D. Srinivas, anaesthetist, told reporters that the hospital, which had fully equipped ICCU, was handling critically ill patients.

Major neurosurgeries were conducted in the hospital apart from treating heart and brain stroke patients.

Now, the hospital is starting the trauma care unit, which would be supported by four orthopaedic surgeons, two plastic surgeons, neurosurgeon and a panel of anaesthetists.

They said the hospital would provide free transport and shifting of patients within the city and nearby villages in case of a call to the hospital on 9441094410.
