TD leader's murder case shifted to Sessions Court

ANANTAPUR: The Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate's Court transferred TDP leader Tagarakunta Prabhakar's murder case to Sessions Court here on Tuesday.

All the 10 accused in the case -- G. Suryanarayana Reddy alias Suri, J. Srinivasa Reddy alias Moddu Sreenu, P. Damodar Reddy, Obi Reddy, P. Narayana Reddy V. Venkatesh and V. Srinivasulu, Bhaskar Reddy, Sivalinga and Venkataramana - were produced in the Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate's Court.

Commencement of trial

Judge A. Moses transferred the case to Sessions Court to enable commencement of trial.

A close associate of Paritala Ravindra and the then MPP of Kanaganapalli, Boya Prabahakar of Tagarakunta, was shot dead on the Court Road here on September 5, 2004.
