KOCHI: Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan said here on Tuesday that the State Government would provide a clean and transparent administration to boost investments, and ruled out sops for investors. The investors who were here had come not because of sops but because of a change in attitudes and the fact that Kerala had overcome its negative image, he said addressing the valedictory session of a one-day investors' meet organised by Doha Bank, Qatar. Providing sops would be discriminatory. This could vitiate the investment climate in the State, he added. Chief Executive Officer of Doha Bank Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed bin Jabor Al Thani said that both Kerala and Qatar were in a phase of growth. The two could cooperate in the areas of their strength. Chandran Pillai, MP, and K.V. Thomas, MLA, were present.
