Meetings on BPL cards from today

10 per cent of the complaints may be genuine, says Karjol

Bangalore: High-level meetings are being held in all the four administrative divisions of the State by the Food and Civil Supplies Department, starting Wednesday to sort out issues related to Below Poverty Line (BPL) cards, according to Food and Civil Supplies Minister Govind M. Karjol. Mr. Karjol told The Hindu that the first meeting would be held in Gulbarga and attended by all Deputy Commissioners of the division, Principal Secretary to the Food and Civil Supplies Department and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister. Meetings would later be held in Belgaum, Mysore and Bangalore.
