Special children to stage `Lion King'

Bangalore: It will be a special performance by some very special children.

The Spastics Society of India, committed to helping children with developmental and neuromuscular disabilities will mark its silver jubilee with a 90-minute performance of "Lion King" on December 1 at Chowdiah Memorial Hall.

The 140 children who will be on stage have various degrees of disabilities, including autism, developmental delays and learning disability. Diana Taharoor, founder of Chrysalis Performance Arts Centre for the Challenged, has directed the play.
