JAIPUR: The Congress has alleged violation of the model code of conduct by the State Government in the Dungarpur Assembly constituency. The party has written to the Chief Election Officer about the transfer of two police officers from the area where the by-election is due on Dec. 4. PCC general secretary Mumtaz Masih said in a statement here on Wednesday that the Government had tried to influence the election outcome by transferring administrative officers. "The transfer of two police officers and posting of new ones in their place after the start of the process of election is a clear cut violation of the model code. It also betrays the State Government's lack of confidence in winning the by-election from Dungarpur," Mr. Masih said. The officers transferred out of Dungarpur are Kailash Dhan Jugawat, Circle Officer, and Jasram Meena, Additional SP.
