BELLARY: The Judicial Magistrate First Class, Sandur, on Wednesday rejected the bail applications of N. Subbaiah, manager of PKP group of companies, Selvam, a transporter from Tamil Nadu, and Shankar an accountant in PKP company, who were arrested by the mobile squad of the Forest Department during a raid on the stock yard and seized iron ore stored illegally. The value of the alleged illegal stock of iron ore was put at Rs. 27.66 crore. Some of the family members of Congress leader D.K. Shivakumar are said to be members of the PKP group and cases have booked against them too.
