KOLLAM: The 10th youth festival and Expo 2006 of Kollam region of the vocational higher secondary schools (VHSS) will be held here on December 1 and 2. The region comprises vocational higher secondary schools from the districts of Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam. More than 1,500 students from 93 VHSS will compete in the festival and another 500 students in the expo, which is a science exhibition. Competitions for 54 events will be at the Kollam Model Government VHSS. Labour Minister P.K. Gurudasan will inaugurate the festival at a function to be presided over by Kollam Mayor N. Padmalochanan. Food and Civil Supplies Minister C. Divakaran will inaugurate the expo.
