SHIMOGA: The central committee of Karnataka Komu Souharda Vedike, a forum for communal harmony, will to hold a State-level rally and conference in Bangalore on November 26 to condemn the proposed Datta Jayanthi celebrations at Bababudanagiri next month. In a press release here on Wednesday, association's secretary K.L. Ashok said that the Sangh Parivar was creating a needless controversy over the Bababudagangiri hill shrine, which had long remained an example of communal harmony between Hindus and Muslims. The rally would be inaugurated by playwright Girish Karnad and the Tontadarya Math swamiji at the Malleswaram playground in Bangalore on November 26, Mr. Ashok said. The Vedike will also hold a `March towards Harmony' in Chikmagalur on December 3 and 4.
